My passion for hairdressing started at the age of 19, when I began a full time apprenticeship training at a leading salon in Scarborough, while here I also studied at The Academy Hair & Beauty in Norton, Malton where I completed my NVQ level 2 and gained a prestigeous ‘Hairdresser of the Year’ award.

Where most hairdressers would be happy with the basics, I yearned for more, so I embarked on an NVQ level 3 in hairdressing. I’d also moved on to working full time at a leading salon in Whitby, where my thirst for knowledge continued, gaining a men’s barbering qualification. 

After some time I also wanted to pursue my dream of travelling, visiting such countries as Australia, obtaining further hairdressing experience. When I returned to the UK I immediately began working for other people in a salon environment, whilst also cutting, styling and colouring friends and family members in their own homes – realising this is where my passion lied.

My experience over the years has led me to believe that most mobile hairdressers work part time and for just for “something to do”. For me mobile hairdressing is a career, keeping myself up-to-date on the latest styles and trends, learning new techniques and always providing the highest salon quality to my customers in the complete comfort of their homes.
